DPS says injuries are non life threatening in Woodville ISD bus crash
An accident occurred in Jasper County on FM 1013 just east of FM 1005 around 3 p.m. There are multiple injuries reported and a medical helicopter has been requested. There were 40 students on the bus. It was the Woodville High School track team, both boys and girls, headed to a competition in Kirbyville.

Three Woodville Independent School District track team members remain hospitalized with pelvic, back and neck injuries after the bus they were riding in left the roadway and flipped several times on Thursday.

The investigating Troopers determined that the driver of the school bus, Brett Tucker Jr. (29) of Cushing, Texas, was traveling at an unsafe speed for the road and weather conditions. Tucker was issued a traffic citation for unsafe speed.
