Ten people were taken to a Beaumont hospital after a city transit bus was involved in a collision with another vehicle and then struck a nearby home. Beaumont police say the bus was carrying 13 passengers when the collision occurred Wednesday morning. Eight passengers, the bus driver and the driver of a heavily damaged Chrysler 300 all were transported for medical treatment. Officer Neil Mireles told the Beaumont Enterprise that none of the injuries appeared serious. The bus appeared to strike a porch at the front of the home, reducing it to a rubble of bricks. Police say there were conflicting reports as to which vehicle failed to stop at a red light, triggering the collision. The wreck remains under investigation.
