Schertz Police investigators said a Nissan Altima attempted to make a left turn onto FM 3009 and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee, causing major damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Nissan Altima, identified as Madison O'Neil, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. Taina Rivera, 17, who was a passenger in the Nissan, was taken to San Antonio Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
