Pedestrian Roy Smith, 80, killed in hit-and-run collision on East Timberview Lane in Arlington, Texas

The victim’s wife, who was home at the time, told police that her husband went to check the mail but didn’t return. She said she looked out a window about 10 to 15 minutes later and saw emergency crews near the home.

The vehicle in question, captured on a on neighbor’s video surveillance, is believed to be a 1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab or similar style truck. The front right door, hood, and both front left and right quarter-panels are a lighter color (possibly primer colored), while rest of the pickup is a darker color.

Arlington police have received more than 100 leads since releasing the image of a vehicle possibly involved with the fatal hit and run -- a 1999 to 2002 Chevy Silverado extended cab.
