Wrong-way crash in Kaufman county leaves two dead | WFAA.com

CRANDALL -- Two are dead after a fiery, wrong-way crash on Highway 175 in Kaufman County early Friday morning. Crandall police said the wrong-way driver was spotted driving recklessly in the City of Kaufman prior to the crash. Police had both directions of Highway 175 closed, but it was reopened by morning. Crandall police officers confirm on scene that an SUV was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 175  in Crandall when it struck a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle that was struck was a 21-year-old man who was on his way home from work.

Two Killed In Fiery Head-On Crash In Kaufman County

Friends and co-workers have identified the 21-year-old man who was killed by the wrong-way driver as 21-year-old Juan Coreas of Kaufman. Coreas was headed back to Kaufman with friends from the Wings restaurant in Seagoville, where he worked for the past year and a half. The 21-year-old was driving behind some of his friends on Highway 175 when they swerved to avoid the wrong-way driver.
