DART driver hit, killed by bus in North Dallas

DALLAS -- DART says one of its bus drivers has died after being struck by a bus at its Northwest Bus Operations Facility. Another driver was pulling out when he hit the victim, who was walking. Monday as the victim was preparing for routes at the facility on Webb Chapel Ext. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died. Check back for more on this developing story.

DART Bus Driver Dies After Being Hit By Another Bus

The accident happened at the northwest operating station on the Webb Chapel Extension, close to Bachman Lake. The location is where buses are housed an drivers pick them up before their shifts. According to a DART spokesman, the man was hit at around 5 a.m. He was taken to Parkland Hospital, but died about a half hour later.

The DART bus driver hit and killed by a bus in the transit lot Monday was identified as 55-year-old Paul Mueller. Mueller had worked at DART since November.
