One dead in Loop 820 crash

Paramedics say an adult woman died in a wreck along Loop 820 in northwest Fort Worth late Monday afternoon. The crash near White Settlement Road involved a pickup truck that slammed into the back of a sedan. A child who was riding in car was said to be in critical condition at a Fort Worth hospital.

Paramedics say a 6-year-old girl is the second person to die in a wreck along Loop 820 in northwest Fort Worth late Monday afternoon. The driver of the truck and the driver of the sedan were also hospitalized, but their injuries were not as serious. An 81-year-old woman in the back seat of the Chevy Malibu, Guadalupe Palacios, was declared dead at the scene. London Pena, 6, was sitting next to her and was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in critical condition.
