His name was not yet released. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck. Investigators said they are trying to determine if speed or the truck's weight were responsible for the wreck.
A truck driver died early Thursday when his 18-wheeler loaded with powdered cement overturned in Midlothian.
A witness, who stopped to help, used the driver's cell phone to contact the driver's family before police arrived, Spann said. The driver's wife was on scene with police and the witness has been interviewed. Police asked that the press not speak to either because it is an ongoing investigation.

Authorities are unsure what caused the single-vehicle wreck.
