A truck driver died early Thursday when his 18-wheeler loaded with powdered cement overturned in Midlothian.

A witness, who stopped to help, used the driver's cell phone to contact the driver's family before police arrived, Spann said. The driver's wife was on scene with police and the witness has been interviewed. Police asked that the press not speak to either because it is an ongoing investigation.
One man died Thursday following an 18-wheeler wreck on a ramp from U.S. 67 to U.S. 287 in Midlothian, Texas. The accident occured on October 23, 2014 around 7:07 a.m. when the truck overturned, closing the ramp for most of Thursday. The truck driver died at the scene. Authorities are unsure what caused the single-vehicle wreck.
