16-Year-Old Girl Dead, 5 Teenagers Injured in Waxahachie Crash

The five other passengers were seriously injured and were taken to hospitals in the Dallas and Waxahachie areas, the DPS said. They were identified as a 16-year-old girl, 17-year-old girl, 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy, all from Waxahachie, and a 17-year-old boy from Garland.

The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. when the driver of a 2007 Honda Accord failed to negotiate a curve to the right in the 100 block of Shoreside Trail, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, NBC5 reported. Four passengers from Waxahachie — two girls, ages 16 and 17, and two boys, age 15 and 16, and a 17-year-old boy from Garland were taken to hospitals in Dallas and Waxahachie, according to the TV station.
