Officials said the trucker had been traveling northbound when he drove onto a ramp to enter the westbound North Loop. For some reason, the truck veered out of the lane and ran along the guardrail for 250 feet before tumbling over the side, Massie said.

The driver was injured but was able to talk to the responders extricating him from the cab, according to a Texas Department of Transportation representative on the scene, Massie said. The driver was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive, officials said.
Fortunately, no cars were hit as the huge semi truck fell down to the road below. The driver was trapped in the vehicle, but was conscious and talking to responders extricating him from the cab. He was taken to a local area hospital and is expected to survive.
