2 killed trying to rescue dog on highway
Investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety say the vehicle the man and the woman had been driving in had gone off the road around 4:30 a.m. Friday near the town of Lorenzo.
The two occupants got out of their car to get their dog, which had gotten loose on the roadway.

The driver and passenger got out of the car and their dog ran off. They've been identified as Chaya Grace Stillwaterlanz, 30, of Oregon, and Joaquin Saloma, 30, of Shallowater.
