Motorcyclist killed in Thursday night crash ID'd

The Bexar County Medical Examiner identified Juan Moreno Lopez, 27, as the man who died around 11 p.m. Thursday when a car driven by Ruben Quinonez, 38, hit him with his front passenger door.

1 dead, 1 charged in Southeast Side crash

One man died and another has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a crash at 11 p.m. Thursday on the Southeast Side. Ruben Quinonez, 38, was driving east in the 2500 block of East Southcross Boulevard when his car hit a dip in the road, police said. Quinonez's car slid across the westbound lanes, where a motorcyclist was unable to avoid hitting it on the front passenger door, police said. The motorcyclist died at the scene. He had no identification with him, so next of kin has not been notified.

Quinonez's car slid across the westbound lanes, where a motorcyclist was unable to avoid hitting it on the front passenger door, police said. The motorcyclist died at the scene. He had no identification with him, so next of kin has not been notified.

A female passenger in Quinonez's car was taken to University Hospital with a broken arm and internal injuries, police said. Quinonez was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center. Police said he was intoxicated and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. Bail for both charges totals $125,000.
