The motorcycle caravan passed an 18-wheeler and another vehicle, then took the Walzem Road exit. The victim lost control of his motorcycle, struck a damaged guardrail and crashed. A preliminary police report said the motorcyclist suffered a "catastrophic" leg injury that led to his death.
