A police sergeant said the 18-wheeler had pulled into the right-hand lane just before hitting another big rig that was being pulled by a tow truck and had broken down on the side of the highway.

Flye was a passenger in the tow truck. According to police, the driver of the tow truck may have pulled into the fast lane ahead of the 18-wheeler and caused the collision.
