Julie Lynn Sutherland, 43, was walking away from a truck stop on Route 11 near Harrisonburg, Virginia, when a passing vehicle hit her at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Virginia State Police reported in written statement. Corinne Geller, spokeswoman for the agency, said a passing motorist saw a body on the roadside and called 9-1-1.
