Jacksonville, FLA twin-engine plane crashed Tuesday morning near a private airstrip in southern Putnam County. The four people aboard sustained only minor injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office responded the crash about 9:40 a.m. on private property off County Road 308, west of Jonas Road. They found the crashed plane upright past the runway.
The two men and two women aboard were taken to Putnam Community Medical Center. One of the women is pregnant.
The extent of the injuries appears to be minor lacerations.

Phoenix, AZPolice say two skydivers are dead after they collided during a jump over southern Arizona.
Eloy says witnesses told authorities both skydivers had open parachutes when they collided about 200 to 300 feet above the ground Tuesday afternoon. At that point, their canopies collapsed and they fell.
Jerome says one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to Casa Grande Regional Medical Center and was pronounced dead there.
A third skydiver was injured but police say that skydiver was not involved in the collision and the injuries are not believed to be serious.

Pittsburgh, PAThree people were injured Tuesday evening in a head-on crash in West Deer Township.
Three people are injured when a minivan and an Infiniti collide head-on in West Deer Township on Tuesday evening.
Authorities said a minivan and a car collided about 6:21 p.m. on Oak Road.
An adult and a minor from the minivan and another adult from the car got out of the vehicles on their own and were taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, authorities said.
Their injuries were described as "traumatic," but their conditions were not immediately available.

Monday, December 2, 2013A passenger was seriously injured when a car rear-ended a FedEx truck, according to the California Highway Patrol.
As the truck was approaching a red light in the right turn lane on Watt Avenue near Chenu Avenue, a 2011 Dodge Avenger was traveling at a high rate of speed straddling the No. 3 lane and the turn lane.
The CHP says the driver of the Avenger, David Longenecker, 25 of Sacramento, didn’t see the FedEx truck slowing and slammed into the rear of it, forcing the Avenger underneath the truck.

Hartford & New Haven, CTPolice are investigating the fatal crash that closed Route 5 in East Windsor for hours Tuesday afternoon.
Police said a man in his 40s was killed when his car crossed the yellow line and hit a dump truck head on. The car went airborne and then hit a utility pole, according to police.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. Both sides of the road are shut down near East Windsor High School.
Police said the victim was the only person in the car. He has not been identified, but police said he was an Enfield resident.
Authorities are investigating.

Charlotte, NCA logging truck overturned near Statesville Monday, causing a road to close.
The crash happened just before noon on Old Mocksville Road about four miles northeast of town, WCNC reported.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Chopper footage showed the entire load of logs spilled off the side of the roadway. The road was closed for a few hours.
The crash is still under investigation. No other vehicles were involved.

Birmingham, ALA Jefferson County sheriff's deputy is fighting for his life after a Tuesday-night ATV crash.
Deputy Brad Perry was listed in critical condition at UAB Hospital Wednesday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesman. Perry is a youth services investigator in the Bessemer Cutoff.
He and a female deputy were off duty and riding an ATV on a mine road off Mud Creek Road when the ATV hit a hole or ditch and flipped, a Jefferson County sheriff's said. Perry suffered a head injury, and has not regained consciousness since the accident.
The female deputy was not hurt.

The crash happened about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in Kalamazoo County's Oshtemo Township.
A Kalamazoo County confirmed the deaths. Identities of those involved weren't immediately released.

Seattle-Tacoma, WATwo people were hurt Tuesday afternoon when a Community Transit bus struck a sport utility vehicle on Highway 99 in Lynnwood. The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m., Lynnwood police said. The southbound SUV was making a left turn in the 20400 block of the highway, Community Transit spokesman said. "The (northbound) bus couldn't stop in time and hit the car and knocked it on its side," he said. The SUV driver was taken to a Seattle hospital and was expected to survive, Wellington said. Twenty people were on the bus at the time.

Birmingham, ALIn Walker County, a Hamilton woman was killed. Troopers said 71-year-old Mable Criddle was a passenger in a vehicle that also lost control on a wet road, overturned and struck a tree.
That accident happened at 2:35 p.m. on Alabama 5, one mile north of Jasper. Criddle was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, troopers said
