A Pecatonica man is dead after a 5 vehicle crash on I-39.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the woman fatally hit by a car Monday on Interstate 35 as Amber Garza, 27.
Garza was driving a Pontiac G6 southbound on Interstate 35 just after midnight in the 4800 block of the highway on the Northeast Side. Police said Garza could have been under the influence of alcohol when she hit the guardrail on the right side of the road.
Authorities say a 78-year-old Vermont man has been killed when his motorcycle was rear-ended by a truck in an eastern New York village.
Police tell The Post-Star of Glens Falls that Vincent Mainillo of Bennington was headed south on Route 22 around 1 p.m. Monday when he was hit from behind by a box truck in Cambridge, near the Vermont border 35 miles northeast of Albany.
Officials say Mainillo was pinned under the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Mainillo was apparently staying at a lakeside campground a few miles north of Cambridge.
A Linden man has died after a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday morning on Interstate 65 in Maury County.
Damon Douglas Brashier, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene by Maury Regional EMS near mile marker 45.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Brashier was driving northbound in a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox when he crossed the median, causing his SUV to flip and go airborne before slamming into a tree.
A Cumming man crashed his car and died in south Forsyth County Monday morning, according to a news release from the Forsyth County Sheriff's office.
According to deputy Michael Nelson, 27-year-old Alexander Robert was driving eastbound around a curve on Bentley Road just after 9 a.m. when his right tires left the road.
While attempting to correct the vehicle, Nelson overcorrected, went into the westbound lane, left the road and struck a tree, according to police.
Authorities said Robert died at the scene.
An 18-year-old York County teen was killed in a single vehicle crash early Monday morning.
Jacob A. Martin was traveling eastbound on Railway Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control, over corrected and struck a tree according to Virginia State Police.
Martin, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Authorities are investigating a fatal bicycle crash involving the Rail Runner.
It happened in Santa Fe on Monday morning off Saint Michaels Drive west of Calle Lorca.
Police say the bicyclist was riding on the sidewalk when he was hit.
About 200 people were on board the train when the accident happened. They were bused to another train.
At this point, police have not released the identity of the bicyclist.
This is the second fatal bicycle crash involving the Rail Runner in Santa Fe in the last few months.
The two people who died in a two-car head on collision near Maltby in Snohomish County on Monday have been identified as Redmond residents Joan S. Kinger, 76, and Stanley Kinger, 79. Authorities say Joan Kinger was pronounced dead at the scene and Stanley Kinger died later at the hospital. Injured in the crash was the driver a Mitsubishi Eclipse that the state patrol believes caused the accident, 24-year-old Gerardo Martinez-Urrutia of Monroe.
