Latosha Parks, 40, killed, Theresa Whitehead, 46, injured and arrested for intoxication manslaughter, after their car crashed into a bridge retaining wall in Dallas.

A woman died early Saturday when the car she was riding in collided with a bridge retaining wall. The vehicle's driver faces an Intoxication Manslaughter charge.

Police told NBC DFW the deceased is 40-year-old Latosha Parks.

Officers said 46-year-old Theresa Whitehead was driving along Cedar Crest Blvd. around 1:20 a.m. Saturday. Whitehead's vehicle hit a retaining wall and then a tree at a high rate of speed.

Parks was thrown from the vehicle despite wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency crews transported Whitehead to Baylor Medical Center. The extent of her injuries have not been released, but police charged her with Intoxication Manslaughter.
