A woman has been charged with intoxicated manslaughter after an overnight accident in the 3400 block of Cedar Crest Blvd. killed the passenger in the car she was driving.

Police told NBC DFW the deceased is 40-year-old Latosha Parks.
Officers said 46-year-old Theresa Whitehead was driving along Cedar Crest Blvd. around 1:20 a.m. Saturday. Whitehead's vehicle hit a retaining wall and then a tree at a high rate of speed.
Parks was thrown from the vehicle despite wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency crews transported Whitehead to Baylor Medical Center. The extent of her injuries have not been released, but police charged her with Intoxication Manslaughter.
