OU- Oklahoma University College of Law
Founded in 1909, the University of Oklahoma College of Law is one of the great public law schools in the nation with small sections and class sizes that encourage a strong sense of community, accomplished faculty who boast international expertise and a state-of-the-art facility featuring study rooms, court rooms and classrooms equipped with the latest technology. As Oklahoma's only public law school, OU Law is currently the academic home of approximately 500 students enrolled in the Juris Doctor, Master of Laws,Master of Legal Studies and various dual degree programs. The University of Oklahoma Law Center is the parent entity of the College of Law. The Law Center also includes the Donald E. Oklahoma Bar Association
The Oklahoma Bar Association was formed in 1904 by the merger of the Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory Bar Associations. After statehood in November 1907, the association was recognized by the Oklahoma Legislature until it repealed the enacting legislation in 1938. Thereafter, in 1939 the Oklahoma Supreme Court, exercising its plenary powers over the courts of the state of Oklahoma, reorganized the association and mandated that to practice law in Oklahoma all Oklahoma lawyers must be association members. The association celebrated its centennial in September 2004 and has a rich history of serving lawyers and the public. It offers a wide variety of community service programs designed to help Oklahomans.

Thu, 11/28/2013Three people died after a car traveling in the wrong direction on U.S. 81 hit another vehicle head-on, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. About 8:15 p.m. Friday, a car with one driver and one passenger was headed north in the southbound lane of the highway about a half mile south of Bison.

Wed, 11/27/2013A 1-year-old Tahlequah girl died in an accident with a pickup on Thanksgiving, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
October French was taken to a hospital, where she died of head injuries, according to a patrol report.

Mon, 11/25/2013A Stigler woman was killed in an accident about 7 p.m. Tuesday in Haskell County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.
Ginett Snow, 34, died from massive head injuries suffered in the accident about a mile west of Stigler.

Mon, 11/25/2013A woman died Tuesday afternoon when her car hit a pickup pulling a hay trailer in Craig County, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said.
Jeannie Chaney, 42, of Vinita, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck about 4:50 p.m. on a county road six miles south of Vinita.

Thu, 11/21/2013Midwest City authorities closed westbound lanes of Interstate 40 at Air Depot Friday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash. The road reopen around 2:15 p.m. when authorities were able to clear the cars.
The crash involves at least six vehicles, including a semi-truck.
