OU- Oklahoma University College of Law
Founded in 1909, the University of Oklahoma College of Law is one of the great public law schools in the nation with small sections and class sizes that encourage a strong sense of community, accomplished faculty who boast international expertise and a state-of-the-art facility featuring study rooms, court rooms and classrooms equipped with the latest technology. As Oklahoma's only public law school, OU Law is currently the academic home of approximately 500 students enrolled in the Juris Doctor, Master of Laws,Master of Legal Studies and various dual degree programs. Oklahoma Bar Association
The Oklahoma Bar Association was formed in 1904 by the merger of the Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory Bar Associations. After statehood in November 1907, the association was recognized by the Oklahoma Legislature until it repealed the enacting legislation in 1938. Thereafter, in 1939 the Oklahoma Supreme Court, exercising its plenary powers over the courts of the state of Oklahoma, reorganized the association and mandated that to practice law in Oklahoma all Oklahoma lawyers must be association members. The association celebrated its centennial in September 2004 and has a rich history of serving lawyers and the public. It offers a wide variety of community service programs designed to help Oklahomans.

The person, whose name has not been released, was driving a tractor-trailer about 10:40 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 40 about four miles east of Sallisaw.

Fri, 01/10/2014Police here on Monday identified an officer and a man involved in a fatal automobile-pedestrian accident on Saturday. Adam Christopher Johnson, 33, of Yukon, was hit about 4:50 a.m. in the 400 block of S Ranchwood Boulevard by a Yukon police car driven by Cpl.

Thu, 01/09/2014Christina Finney, 23, of Fort Cobb was killed in a Caddo County car accident.
Finney was driving south on a Caddo County road when the car left the road, struck an embankment and rolled onto its top, according to a patrol report.

Thu, 01/09/2014Oklahoma City police are looking for a driver they say was involved in a hit-and-run accident with a MetroTransit bus. Officers say the crash occurred near North Classen Boulevard and Northwest 10th Street. Authorities say they are looking for a white truck that fled the scene.

Wed, 01/08/2014Clark Vanpelt died about 4:45 a.m. Thursday on 106th Street North just east of 161st East Avenue, the patrol reported.
Vanpelt was dead at the scene from massive injuries.

Wed, 01/08/2014Fred Keith Reddick 90, was driving about 9:55 a.m. Thursday northbound on U.S. Highway 270 near Beaver. His car drove off the roadway and went back across the roadway into a ditch. The car hit a tree stump and flipped, troopers said. Reddick was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Tue, 01/07/2014Rebecca Ford was driving about 8:50 a.m. Wednesday westbound on State Highway 3 in Coal County. A semitrailer driven by Perell Monday, 56, of Enid, went left of center and hit a pickup and horse trailer driven by Logan Reed, 64, of Coalgate, troopers said.

The man's name has been withheld pending notification of relatives, the patrol reports.

Tue, 12/31/2013An Oklahoma City man died Wednesday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 40 in Caddo County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. About 5:10 p.m., Kevin Kizarr, 43, was driving west on I-40 when he went off the road at an exit about five miles north of Hinton.
