Michael McCauley died following a hit-and-run side-swipe collision on Highway 385 in Dalhart, Texas

Heinrichs has since admitted to sideswiping McCauley’s truck and to knowing that the incident killed him. He is now in jail on charges of first-degree murder manslaughter, leaving the scene of a collision involving death, and destroying evidence.
