The Rhome Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect driver who is wanted in relation to the death of a motorcyclist. The police is also hoping to speak with a witness to the crash.

According to investigators, officers in Rhome were called to a crash along U.S. Highway 287 between Pioneer Parkway and Texas 114 at about 7:15 a.m. where a motorcycle rider was fatally injured after having been driven from the roadway.

Police say the suspect vehicle is a gray Ford F-250 or F-350 quad cab that was pulling a black gooseneck trailer that was hauling what appeared to be an asphalt roller vehicle. The truck is a newer model Ford with an aftermarket front bumper, hood scoop with market lights beneath the hood line and has dark gray or black wheels.

The trailer was carrying a white and black asphalt roller, or similar equipment, with a high bar behind the seat.
