It was in the evening when Johnson was taking one of his usual walks along Geiger Boulevard, but due to the very windy conditions that night he decided he would turn back early.
The actual cause of the accident is unclear, but it has been reported that a car containing two men drove into the Spokane River, and that the men were able to get themselves out and weren't seriously injured.
A 26-year-old woman died in a crash on Interstate 90 just before 7 a.m.
A 13-year-old female was killed in a two-vehicle crash in northern Idaho. Kalkidan Qualls was killed Saturday after the van she was a passenger in slid into oncoming traffic on U.S. Highway 95 near Tensed.
One Idaho woman was killed and three people suffered injuries in a highway crash on US 95 on Friday at 2:30 p.m. One vehicle crashed into another while trying to merge onto the roadway.
There are few details on the crash itself, but so far it is known that a bus and car collided at the intersection N. Hamilton St. and E. Mission Ave with such force that a woman in the car was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated.
One person was killed and two people injured in an off-roading accident near Ione, Washington which occurred at around 7:45 p.m.
Just before 11pm Wednesday an RV and a Smart Car collided at the intersection of North Newport Highway and North Nevada Street near the Northside YMCA in Spokane. Both drivers claimed to have had a green light.
At around 10 p.m., Sharon Ferg of Spokane was southbound in a 1973 Dodge motor home on Highway 2 near Nevada Street when she tried to turn left and was struck by a northbound Nissan Versa driven by Roger Tracy of Elk.
Sometime in the evening, a truck ran a red light at the intersectino of Argonne and Sprague and struck another vehicle before finally running into a Banner Bank building.
