A motorcyclist has died after colliding with another in Fort Worth.

Around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, three motorcycles were heading east on Meacham Boulevard near Mark IV Parkway when two of them crashed into each other, police stated.

One of the riders fell onto westbound Meacham and was hit by a car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other rider was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

A 57-year-old man suffered critical injuries Tuesday night, after a car struck him near Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard.

The accident happened shortly before 9 p.m. Police say the victim, later identified as Jiahong Wang, 57, was walking across Jones near Fairbanks Road, when a Lexus, driven by Gabriel Petrescue, 47, hit him. Police say the man was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident. Emergency crews took him to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police, so far, have not arrested the driver of the Lexus.

Two men and a woman were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night in Elkton, according to St. Johns County deputies.

Deputies said an SUV was heading northbound on State Road 207 at Maine Street about 9:45 p.m. when it was struck from behind by another car.

Both vehicles then ran off the road into the wood line, deputies said.

Arelis Hillsgrove, 38, and Tali Hillsgrove, 45, both of St. Augustine, were in the SUV. Daniel Gray, 29, of Palm Coast, was driving the car. All three had to be extricated by firefighters.

A Salisbury man was critically injured when a car turned into the path of his motorcycle on Tuesday night.

It happened around 9:00 pm at the intersection of Jake Alexander Boulevard and Old Concord Road.

According to a Salisbury Police report, Daniel Reinbolt was riding his 1998 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when a 1998 Nissan, drive by Kaytlin Nicolle Hegler Pless, 17, pulled out in front of him.

The second accident happened just before 10 p.m. in Irondale. Willy Marie Deilen Jr. was driving his Toyota Tacoma pickup truck east on Interstate 20.

Deilen lost control for unknown reasons, and left the roadway. His truck flipped several times and then struck an embankment and at least two trees.

He was thrown from the truck, and pronounced dead at the scene at 10:09 p.m.

A crash happened just after 1 p.m. in western Birmingham. Authorities said Zelma Jane Wilkes, of Bessemer, was driving her Lincoln Town Car north on Shannon-Wenonah Road.

Wilkes stopped at the Lakeshore Parkway intersection, but then pulled out into oncoming traffic, witnesses told Birmingham police. She was struck in the driver's side door.

Wilkes was taken to UAB Hospital, where she was pronounced dead several hours later, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

A man was injured in a fiery crash of a tractor-trailer truck and a van on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge that snarled traffic on the Staten Island Expressway during the height of rush hour on Tuesday morning.

The 23-year-old driver of the van was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze with non-life threatening injuries, said MTA spokeswoman Judie Glave.

The upper level of the span was closed for about two hours as a result of the incident, Ms. Glave said.

A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after a single-motorcycle accident in Salt Lake.

The incident was reported just after 4 a.m. Tuesday on Sand Island Access Road near Hoonee Place.

According to crews on the scene, a man was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Police have closed are investigating the cause of the accident.

Five people, including three children, were hurt in a crash in Arlington late Tuesday morning, according to Jacksonville police.

The crash happened in the 8000 block of Galveston Avenue just before 11:30 a.m.

Police said everyone hurt was in stable condition at the scene and were taken to UF Health Jacksonville. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

A 23-year-old Fresno man was killed Tuesday morning in a rollover on Avenue 12 in Madera County, said a California Highway Patrol Officer.

The crash was reported about 6:50 a.m. on Avenue 12 west of Highway 41. The pickup was traveling at a high speed when it went off the roadway and rolled a couple times before coming to rest on its roof, police said.

The man, who was driving alone, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The accident remains under investigation.
