Two drivers died when a 91-year-old man driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 near the Florida-Georgia border late Friday night stuck an SUV and a Greyhound bus. Troopers said a 91-year-old driver was diving south in the northbound lanes when they ran head-on into the bus and a Ford Expedition at mile marker 449, about 10 miles south of Jasper in Hamilton County. The car's driver, Ernest Lee Holmes, 91, from High Springs, Florida was killed in the accident, according to the FHP report. Peter Linek, 55, of Ormond Beach, who was driving the SUV also died.

A bicyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Friday night. The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the man was riding north in the bike on U.S. 1 south of State Road 312 lane when a red Dodge pickup truck turned onto the side street. "The bicyclist, later identified as Richard Craig Layman, 51, took evasive action and veered into the right, southbound lane of U.S. 1, into the direct path of the Nissan Cube," said FHP Sgt. Joel Johnson. "The Nissan Cube struck the bicycle and bicyclist and they came to a final rest in the median there.”

A young mother of two is dead and two others were seriously injured after a two-vehicle accident occurred on April 3.

At around 12:13 p.m., Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to an accident at the intersection of U.S. 27 and County Road 720.

A Miami woman was fatally injured in front of her home Thursday when a minivan hit her car as she pulled out of the driveway.

Miami police said Elizabeth Cordona, 22, was leaving the driveway of her home at 3810 NW 13th St. at 1 p.m. when an eastbound Toyota minivan hit her vehicle.

The impact rolled Cordona’s car over, causing it to hit a tree.

Cordona was pronounced dead at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

Police were still investigating the crash Thursday evening and did not release information about the driver of the minivan.

An 84-year-old woman almost hit a customer when she crashed her car through the front door of a Winter Haven CVS on Wednesday afternoon.

Miraculously, the customer had stepped back and out of the path of the car just moments before it crashed into the store.

The crash, which happened at 4:43 p.m., caused an estimated $65,000 damage to the CVS store at 970 SR 540.

Two people were airlifted to hospitals Thursday afternoon after a school bus and a car collided on State Road 56 at Interstate 75 in Pasco County. The persons injured were in the car. They were later identified as; James Yant Jr., 56, Felicia Smith, 23, and Frederick Whiting, 27. A Pasco County Schools spokesperson says four Wesley Chapel High School students between the ages of 16 and 19 were on the bus at the time of the crash. The students sustained minor injuries and were released from the scene to their parents.

A busy downtown street reopened early Thursday after an accident involving a car and a train blocked the roadway for nearly two hours. The accident happened after 3 a.m. near the railroad crossing at Washington Street, which is located between Orange Avenue and Garland Avenue. Video from the accident scene showed a dark-colored two-door coupe parked on the tracks directly in front of a CSX locomotive. Police said the cause of the accident is under investigation. Damage to both the train and car appeared to be minor. No injuries were reported.

A Palm Tran bus, tractor-trailer and car were involved in a wreck Wednesday morning in West Palm Beach, according to police.

The wreck occurred around 10 a.m. at southbound N. Australian Avenue and 36th Street.

There are reports of minor injuries to seven people.

The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a vehicle that hit a school bus on the Westside on Wednesday morning, then drove away. At 6:40 a.m. a school bus was rear-ended by an unknown Jeep Wrangler, according to FHP. The vehicle then fled the scene after the crash. Thirty-five students were on the bus at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported according to FHP. The crash happened in the northbound lanes of Blanding Boulevard at Longchamp Road. The crash did not block any lanes of traffic, according to FHP. FHP is investigating the crash as a hit-and-run.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a bus crash on the Westside, after a school bus rear-ended an SUV Wednesday morning. According to a FHP report, the school bus was traveling eastbound on 103rd Street at Old Middleburg Road, when the traffic in front of the bus stopped. The bus failed to stop and rear-ended a GMC Envoy. The crash happened at 8:15 a.m. and there were no students on the bus at the time, according to FHP. A spokesperson with Duval County Public Schools said the bus was assigned to Jefferson Davis Middle School and no injuries were reported.
