A 61-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl were struck on a sidewalk by a vehicle involved in a three-car crash on Monday afternoon in Roxbury near Boston police headquarters, officials said.

The two were hit at about 3:45 p.m. near Tremont and Prentiss streets, police said.

A driver was arrested and charged with attacking a Massachusetts State Trooper after a minor accident on Interstate 93 Friday morning. Nassive Palmer, 30, of Woburn, had pulled over in the breakdown lane on 93 south in Medford around 7:30 a.m. after his Dodge Caravan allegedly rear-ended an Audi.
