A truck crashed into a 60-foot construction scaffolding Wednesday morning around 7:00 a.m., causing a portion of it to fall onto the truck and the sidewalk. The incident occured in Mindtown Manhattan when the truck drove onto the sidewalk on West 38th Street and struck the scaffolding. No injuries were reported. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Swedish model Anna Maria Mostron, 29, hospitalized with brain trauma after being struck by bus while riding a bicycle on Main Street of Roosevelt Island near Manhattan, NY.  The Red Bus Service bus was trying to make a turn and hit her, throwing her from the bike. The bus driver stayed at the scene and no charges have been filed.

Alysha M. Roberts, 26, of Bennington is charged with driving while intoxicated after her car flipped on Johnson Hill Road. Alcohol was detected on her as she was interviewed at scene of the accident on Tuesday night. She was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Troy where she was evaluated for injuries.

Philip Fortsch III of Champlain was operating a manure spreader in the Clinton County town of Chazy when the tractor ran off the edge of a driveway, causing it to overturn and roll into the Little Chazy River. The tractor came to rest upside down with the cab submerged in approximately four feet of water.

Adam J. Parker, of Waddington, was charged with DWI Monday after a personal injury accident on Highway 310 in Norfolk, NY. Parker is alleged to have had a blood alcohol content of 0.09 percent, which is over the legal limit.

Around 7:45 a.m. on October 6, 2014, a dark gray Toyota Corolla crashed into a school bus at the intersection of West Genesee and North Franklin in Syracuse, New York. Police closed the intersection to investigate. No serious injuries were reported, though students were examined for injuries. Students were transferred to another bus around 8:30 a.m.

20-year-old Diop-Alimayu P. Brown was killed in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning on Route 5 at West Genesee Turnpike. His motorcycle went off the shounder and struck a guardrail. Brown was transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where he was pronounced dead.

The two car crash occurred about 7:10 p.m. at routes 35 and 100. Marie Barton, who died, was a passenger in a Honda being driven by a 65-year-old Connecticut woman. The other car was a Volvo driven by a 16-year-old Somers girl. The two drivers were taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Life-saving measures for the Barton were performed at the scene, but she died after arriving at Northern Westchester Hospital. There were no signs or indications that alcohol or drugs played any role in the crash.

Interstate 481 completely reopened Saturday evening after a tandem tractor-trailer veered off I-481 north, crossed into the southbound lanes and overturned off the road. Around 1 a.m. Saturday Daniel Etters, 44, was driving a FedEx tandem tractor-trailer north on I-481 when it left the highway, went over the median and the southbound lanes before hitting a guardrail and overturning, DeWitt police said. Etters suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

Six teens were injured when the car they were riding in hit a tree at high speed. Fortunately non of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, but they had to be treated at hospitals nonetheless. The car was only designed to carry five people, and the driver did not have registration that would have allowed him to have so many people not in his immediate family in the car.
