One man was killed in a crash on the westbound Long Island Expressway in Queens Thursday morning, one of many accidents that delayed traffic for the morning commute. Multiple vehicles collided in the inbound lanes near exit 31, at the Nassau County Boarder, just after a light band of snow moved through the region around 5 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. All westbound traffic was funneled into a single HOV lane as authorities investigated, causing miles of delays into Nassau County for hours.

Two people have been injured in a car crash in Ocala on Thursday morning after a pickup truck hit a power pole and overturned. SW 20th Street was shut down as police investigated the crash, which had two people trapped inside the pickup truck for hours. The crash occurred just before 5 a.m. and it took nearly two hours each to extricate both victims out of the vehicle. The victims were taken to Ocala Regional Trauma Center.

One person is dead and another is injured after their vehicle crashed and overturned late Tuesday. According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 2000 block of Brock Road in Paint Township, at about 9:49 p.m. Tuesday, on the report of a crash. Deputies said, when they arrived on scene, they found a 2006 Ford F-Series pickup truck overturned in a streamline near the roadway.

Harris County sheriff's deputies are looking for the pickup truck involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash. Investigators say around 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, a mother and son were trying to cross Woodforest Boulevard near Grassmont, east of I-10 and the Beltway. The son, in his 20s, made it across safely, but when the mother tried to cross, she was hit by an oncoming truck. "He [son] told his mother to come on across the road, as she was coming across the road the truck sped up and struck the female," said a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency crews were on scene at an icy patch of highway 64/40 Thursday afternoon after multiple accidents happened just moments apart. Just west of the Boone Bridge on westbound 64/40, a female motorist hit a patch of ice and spun off the highway. The vehicle went across Technology Drive, a bordering roadway, before sliding into an embankment. The driver was not hurt, and there was no one else in the car. While officers responded, a second vehicle hit the same patch of ice, causing it to overturn. During the accident, one of the three people inside the vehicle was ejected.
