Four people killed when their aircraft crashed and caught on fire just after takeoff Monday from the Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Heights.The occupants were trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene. It was not immediately known where the plane was headed. The names of those on board have not been released.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash that killed a 47-year-old man this morning on Borden Road in Cheektowaga. A car driven by the 18-year-old man struck the 47-year-old man from Cheektowaga at 7 a.m. as the victim was walking northbound along Borden Road in the fog line area. Police charged the suspect with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. The 18-year-old drove away from the crash, but he was pulled over about a mile away after an off-duty officer who was driving home witnessed the accident.

Authorities have identified the two people who died in a plane crash in northern Colorado. The Denver Post reports that Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg identified the two as William Earl Allen, 62, of Broomfield, Colorado, and a flying student, Terry Lynn Stewart, 60, of Houston, Texas. According to Allen's Facebook page, he was a Certified Flight Instructor at Journeys Aviation in Boulder, the Post reports. The newspaper says a person at the aviation company declined to comment Sunday.

Dothan police say an elderly woman is dead after being hit by a motor vehicle.

According to a press release officers arrived at the 3200 block of Fortner Street where they found an unresponsive woman lying on the side of the road. The driver of the vehicle was also there and appeared to be unharmed.

The victim, identified as 71-year-old Darlene Dean, was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries from the collision.

New Jersey State Police say a two-vehicle crash on the southbound Garden State Parkway in Stafford Township on Saturday remains under investigation.

Shorty before 3 p.m., a driver of a pick-up truck traveling south on the parkway cut into the path of a car also traveling southbound. The truck struck the driver’s side door of the car, causing both vehicles to lose control and veer off the road.

Two adults in the car, both females, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 69-year-old Frances Hill and 45-year-old Naomi Johnson, both of Turnersville.

State police say a motorcycle driver has been charged with riding drunk and manslaughter after a crash that killed his passenger.

They say Dennis Conklin of Williamson has been charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated following an investigation of the wreck that left 46-year-old Mary Nolan of Rochester dead.

Troopers say Conklin was weaving through traffic at high speed when he crashed around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 590 in Rochester.

Nolan as thrown from the bike and Conklin was injured.

A driver has been charged with DUI manslaughter in a wreck that killed a western North Carolina woman who was on vacation in Florida. Elizabeth Braly, 45, of Hendersonville, died Tuesday in the town of Daytona Beach Shores. Florida Highway Patrol officials said Braly was walking with her family when a drunk driver plowed through a toll booth and hit her. Braly was pronounced dead at the scene. Family members told FOX Carolina Wednesday night that Braly, a mother of seven children, was visiting family members in the Daytona Beach area and frequented that area often.

State Police in Fulton are investigating a fatal crash that occurred shortly before 5:00 Tuesday afternoon on State Route 3 in the Town of Hannibal, Oswego County. The investigation has revealed a car, operated by Dylan Blair, 18, from Fulton, NY along with 3 other passengers, were westbound on State Route 3 when he came upon a vehicle slowing down to assist a disabled vehicle who was off the roadway and parked along the shoulder.

A leader in the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation was killed in an overnight traffic accident on the tribal grounds near Mayetta, authorities said.

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation leaders identified the fatality victim as James M. Potter, who served as tribal council secretary.

The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed Thursday morning that troopers were on the scene and were investigating the fatality accident.

Additional information, including the time and location of the crash, wasn’t immediately available.

Police have identified the suspect and victim involved in a hit-and-run accident in Lebanon early Saturday morning.

Darwin Almonte, 26, of Lebanon was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a driver who fled in the 900 block of North 7th Street at about 2:16 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

At 11:13 p.m. the same day, 21-year-old Chelsea Grischott of Lebanon called police, saying she had been involved in an accident on North 7th Street earlier on Saturday, according to police.
