Dothan police say an elderly woman is dead after being hit by a motor vehicle.
According to a press release officers arrived at the 3200 block of Fortner Street where they found an unresponsive woman lying on the side of the road. The driver of the vehicle was also there and appeared to be unharmed.
The victim, identified as 71-year-old Darlene Dean, was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries from the collision.
New Jersey State Police say a two-vehicle crash on the southbound Garden State Parkway in Stafford Township on Saturday remains under investigation.
Shorty before 3 p.m., a driver of a pick-up truck traveling south on the parkway cut into the path of a car also traveling southbound. The truck struck the driver’s side door of the car, causing both vehicles to lose control and veer off the road.
Two adults in the car, both females, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 69-year-old Frances Hill and 45-year-old Naomi Johnson, both of Turnersville.
State police say a motorcycle driver has been charged with riding drunk and manslaughter after a crash that killed his passenger.
They say Dennis Conklin of Williamson has been charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated following an investigation of the wreck that left 46-year-old Mary Nolan of Rochester dead.
Troopers say Conklin was weaving through traffic at high speed when he crashed around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 590 in Rochester.
Nolan as thrown from the bike and Conklin was injured.

A leader in the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation was killed in an overnight traffic accident on the tribal grounds near Mayetta, authorities said.
Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation leaders identified the fatality victim as James M. Potter, who served as tribal council secretary.
The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed Thursday morning that troopers were on the scene and were investigating the fatality accident.
Additional information, including the time and location of the crash, wasn’t immediately available.
Police have identified the suspect and victim involved in a hit-and-run accident in Lebanon early Saturday morning.
Darwin Almonte, 26, of Lebanon was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a driver who fled in the 900 block of North 7th Street at about 2:16 a.m. on Saturday, police said.
At 11:13 p.m. the same day, 21-year-old Chelsea Grischott of Lebanon called police, saying she had been involved in an accident on North 7th Street earlier on Saturday, according to police.
