A black Mercedes-Benz SUV slammed into the Hawaii Kai branch of Bank of Hawaii Monday morning.

Honolulu police say it happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Koko Marina Shopping Center. There were no major injuries reported.

A man was rushed to the hospital after an accident on Kula Highway on Maui.

The incident happened at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday near Kealakapu Road in Kula.

Police say when a 23-year-old man was driving a white 1999 Toyota Tacoma pick-up north on Kula Highway, a 23-year-old passenger climbed out of the cab of the truck through the rear sliding window and into the bed of the truck.

The man fell out of the truck’s bed while the truck was moving. He was transported to the hospital in critical life-threatening injuries.

A 26-year-old Hilo man is dead after an early morning car crash in Kea’au. It happened at 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning on the Kea’au-Pahoa Road between the three and four mile-markers. Police say the 26-year-old man, later identified as Matthew Therrien, was traveling west on the Kea’au-Pahoa Road when he overtook a vehicle and collided with a Ford pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction. The 52-year-old man driving the truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He was also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

A Kahului man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Kihei.

Maui police say at 1:56 a.m. Friday, Clifford Spencer, 63, was riding a black Harley Davidson motorcycle north-bound on Piilani Hwy. when he lost control and hit a guardrail near Kaiwahine St.

Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

It is not known if speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. An investigation is pending.

Two Honolulu-bound lanes of Kahekili Hwy. at Keaahala Rd. remain closed due to a motorcycle crash.

Honolulu police previously shut down the entire intersection.

It happened at around 12:25 p.m. fronting Kaneohe District Park.

Police say the victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition.

A 16-year-old girl is dead after crashing her motor scooter on the Likelike Hwy. on-ramp to the west-bound direction of H-3 Fwy. The incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday. “When (officers) got up here, what they found was a father and daughter who were riding their motor scooters heading up to the H-3, when the daughter, who was the lead vehicle, lost control and struck the guardrail,” said Lt. Bobby Towne of the Honolulu Police Dept.

A woman has died after a car crashed into a traffic signal pole in Lahaina.

The crash happened at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Honoapiilani Highway and Shaw Street.

According to Maui police, a 30-year-old Lahaina man was driving in the northbound direction on the highway when he struck a pole. The car continued through the intersection and collided into a second traffic signal pole where the car came to rest.

The driver was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

Honolulu police are responding to a critical accident in the Kalihi area.

The incident happened at about 9:15 a.m. Monday.

Police say a bus hit a bicyclist near McDonalds.

According to the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, a man in his 50 to 60s was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police have closed two lanes in the westbound direction of Nimitz Highway near Puuhale Road at this time.

The medical examiner’s office has identified the man who was killed in a three-car crash in Nanakuli Sunday as 39-year-old Aaron Collins of Waianae.

Police say Collins was driving on Farrington Hwy. near Auyong Homestead Rd. when a Lexus heading the opposite way crossed the center line and slammed into Collins’ Chevy, which was then hit by a Jeep.

Collins died at the scene.

The driver of the Lexus, 24-year-old Wesley Faasavalu, was arrested for negligent homicide and released pending investigation.

The Kapiolani Community College Farmers’ Market is closed after a pedestrian crash.

It happened in the parking lot of Kapiolani Community College at about 6:30 a.m.

Paramedics took a 27-year-old woman, later identified as Annie Runland, to the hospital in critical condition where she later died. A 64-year-old man was also taken to the hospital in serious condition. A 51-year-old woman refused transport.
