At about 8:40am, Vargas was driving on I-82 when she lost control, struck the left guardrail and then the right guardrail, and finally came to rest in the median.
At around 8:25am, a car with Vila as the driver and Ixtas and Garcia as passengers hit a guardrail and rolled down an embankment, injuring all three women. All the victims were transported to PMH Medical Center.

Rudy Navarro, 21, of Outlook, was injured Monday evening when he crashed his pickup 2 miles west of Prosser on Interstate 82. Navarro was westbound about 5:40 p.m.
Two drivers were injured, including a Selah woman, in a crash near the west entrance to the Hanford Nuclear Reservation Saturday afternoon. Sharon M. Farris, 73, and the driver of the other car, 75-year-old Richard A.
Jerrie Vanderhouwen, 78, is in critical condition following a two-car collision at the intersection of Ackerly Road and U.S. Highway 12 just outside of Yakima, Washington.
