One person, later identified as Leonard W. McGarity, 58, died in the plane crash this afternoon in the 2900 block of Greenbriar Boulevard. The plane is a single-engine experimental aircraft, said a Palm Beach County Fire Rescue spokesman Capt.

The crash happened around 12:55 p.m.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews and Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies are at the scene.

After he was released from JFK Hospital with minor injuries from crashing his car into a home in Lake Worth, Albert Garcia-Cruz was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Monday.

Garcia-Cruz, 26, faces a moving traffic violation because he did not have a driver’s licence.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. Monday at a home off of Sixth Avenue South and South Street, where two people partner were sleeping. They were uninjured, but the foyer at the front of their home was destroyed.

The driver of the blue Ford Explorer that crashed into a Lake Worth home this morning is in a local hospital and is facing criminal charges, according to a Palm Beach County sheriff’s spokeswoman.

Deputies suspect the man, whose name was not released, was impaired at the time of the crash. He also did not have a license.

The crash happened around 7:15 a.m. in the 500 block of South C Street, just east of Interstate 95 and just north of Sixth Avenue South.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews and Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene.

Officials are searching for black pick-up truck with an extended cab and tinted windows that left the scene of a fatal bicycle crash early Monday morning in St. Lucie County. The bicyclist, later identified as Nelson Reeves, 64, was traveling in the bike lane northbound on State Road A1A when it was hit by the truck just before 8 a.m. in Jensen Beach, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release. There is no description of the driver available. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

One person was taken to a hospital Saturday morning after a three-car rollover crash at Jog and Belvedere roads in suburban West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.

Crews responded around 8:30 a.m. to find the injured person’s car had rolled over onto its roof, said a Fire Rescue spokesman.

The occupant was helped from the vehicle and taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

A 19-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night in a vehicle crash in West Palm Beach.

Tiffany Hicks of West Palm Beach was a passenger in a vehicle traveling near 45th Street and North Military Trail, west of Village Boulevard, around 9:30 p.m.

The vehicle was hit by another vehicle driven by Jarrett Perry, 31, of Hobe Sound.

West Palm Beach police detectives are still investigating the wreck. They do not suspect the use of drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Just before 11 a-m Tuesday morning, two workers at the Florida Power and Light plant in Indiantown were injured.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office says that Michael Counts of Zephyr Hills and Richard Egert of Sarasota were working on a large steel frame known as a "wall section".

The wall section according to Martin County deputies was placed against a permanent steel framing at the power plant.

Investigators say that Egert was behind and underneath the wall section and Counts was on a ladder in front ot the section.

Search crews continued for the second day looking for a plane that crashed off of the St. Lucie Inlet.

The plane was headed from Marathon to Vero Beach Friday evening.

Authorities say the pilot, Andrei Postelnicu, of the United Kingdom, was the only person in the Piper PA-28 plane.

Authorities say Postelnicu leased the plane from a Treasure Coast company, Pilot's Paradise, and was returning to Vero Beach.

Martin County Sheriff William Snyder says Postelnicu was last heard on the radio asking for some kind of instructions.

Three bodies were found and seven people were rescued after a boat capsized 75 miles northeast of West Palm Beach Thursday, officials said.

Seven suspected migrants were seen atop the hull of a 24-foot center console vessel off the Florida coast at about noon, when Coast Guard officials said they were called to the scene.

Rescuers are searching for two more people, officials said.

A 15 year old is dead and a 18 year old was rushed to a local trauma center after a single-vehicle accident in front of the Crystal Lake Elementary School in suburban Stuart, said a spokesman for Martin County Fire Rescue.

The accident happened around 3:16 p.m. when the vehicle crashed against a concrete pole in front of the school at 2095 SW 96th Street, Killane said. Investigators say the driver of the vehicle attempted to stop a traffic light when she lost control and began to spin clockwise.
