A man was heading southbound on State Route 211 when he passed another vehicle at high speed. His vehicle then exited the road, flipped, and traveled down an embankment before catching fire.
The motorcyclist who was killed after a collision with a STA bus ran a red light, according authorities. The collision occurred just after 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Video from the bus showed the motorcyclist ran the red light on North Foothills Drive.
At around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Edward E. Hanway of Nespelem was walking in the northbound lane of State Road 97 when he was struck by a 2006 Chrysler 300 driven by 28-year-old Brianna Marie Kelley of Okanogan.

A 30-year-old pilot flying a logging helicopter had just lifted off with a load of logs when a loud popping noise was heard and the machine crashed. The helicopter caught fire, sparking a wildfire that spread to 50-acres.
Lyndon L. Amestoy and Richard L. Runyon died when their plane crashed into the Spokane River Thursday. Runyon owned Flying R Ranch Airport in Cheney. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
