A North Easton man has died after a crash in Stoughton early Tuesday morning. Police say two cars crashed on Route 138 around 1:30 a.m. Both drivers were taken to the hospital. One driver died and the other suffered minor injuries. Police say it's too early to tell what caused the crash.

According to Coppell Police, a Hurst resident crashed into a median, and ended up in Grapevine Creek. 61 year old, Jay T. Clement, died in the single car crash. He was traveling eastbound on I-635, when his Toyota Highlander left the roadway and continued in the median, where it finally came to a stop in the creek. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A 22-year-old female was injured in a two-car crash north of Daybreak Park this morning. The crash, reported at 10:39 a.m. at Northeast 82nd Avenue and Northeast 279th Street, involved a pickup and a small car, according to Clark County Fire & Rescue spokesman. The driver of the pickup was not injured, but the woman driving the car was extricated and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Her condition was not immediately available. Police said that the crash involved heavy damage to the vehicles, but the woman escaped severe injury because she was wearing a seat belt.

A man was arrested after crashing his car during a police chase and then trying to run from officers. A police officer saw a car driving erratically on Richmond near Shepard around 2 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Houston Police Department. When the officer tried to pull over the driver, he sped off and police pursued. Officials said the man raced down Richmond for a few blocks before crashing into a truck. Police said the driver jumped out of the car and took off running. Police quickly caught him. Officials said the man is suspected of drunken driving. Charges against him are pending.

A Waynoka man died after his vehicle collided with a passing train Monday. Michael Linn Weber, 47, was killed about 5:05 p.m. Monday as he was driving south on County Road 480, a half mile east of County Road 470 in Woods County. He passed over railroad tracks at an unguarded crossing and was hit by an oncoming train that had 88 cars. Weber was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Police are looking for the driver of an SUV that struck and injured a woman walking on the street on Tuesday morning in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District and then drove away. Police said a black SUV struck the woman at Turk and Leavenworth Streets at around 9:45 a.m.. The woman was transported to San Francisco General Hospital. The extent of her injuries were not reported.

North Charleston police have arrested and charged 25-year-old Kevin Larone Ivery in connection with the death of 71-year-old Barbara Ann Wisdom, a nun from New York. According to police, Wisdom was struck by Ivery’s car at the corner of Dorchester and Ashley Phosphate Road. Ivery, of Peppercorn Lane, has a long history with breaking the law. In Monday's night's incident, he is charged as a habitual offender and driving under suspension. His bond was set at $50,000 on Tuesday. Additional charges may be added after the investigation is complete.

A head-on crash on Guide Meridian left two young men dead early Tuesday, Dec. 31, according to the Washington State Patrol. Travis Lee Holst, 23, the driver of a green '03 Chevy Tahoe, had been driving northbound on Guide Meridian before he crossed the center line near Smith Road. The Tahoe crashed head-on into a silver '97 Honda Civic driven by Brox Mitchell Browning, 20, of Lynden, at 12:17 a.m. Browning died at the scene.

A woman has died in a wreck with a Cumberland County sheriff's deputy. State troopers say the crash happened at about 10:30 p.m. Monday as two deputies in separate vehicles responded to a call about a possible suicide attempt. Troopers say the woman's SUV allegedly hit one deputy's car but didn't stop. Somewhere between Fayetteville and Hope Mills, authorities say the woman hit the second deputy's car as they entered a sharp curve in the road. The woman was killed in that crash, and the deputy broke an ankle. The deputy involved in the first crash wasn't hurt.

A 24-year-old Illinois man was killed Monday in a two-vehicle crash in Iowa County. Leander R. Vethanayagamony, of Bolingbrook, Ill., was traveling east on Highway 18 about 11:30 a.m. when he was hit by a Dodge Grand Caravan, according to the Iowa County Sheriff's Office. The van was driven by Sally A. Brownell, 60, of Linden, who was traveling west on Highway 18 when she went off the right shoulder. She overcorrected, losing control of her vehicle and spinning into the eastbound lane, where she hit the oncoming car, a new release stated.
