A southeast Kansas teenager was killed after crashing a vehicle during a police chase. Four other teen passengers were injured when they were ejected from the car in the rollover crash that occurred just after 8 a.m. Monday near the town of Columbus while officers were chasing a car driven by 17-year-old Noah Kirsch, of Pittsburg. The driver lost control and the car went off the road and rolled over several times. His injured passengers were identified as two boys and two girls, all 15 and 16 years old and from Pittsburg. They were taken to hospitals in Pittsburg and Joplin, Missouri.

Veronica Hayes was headed south on Blume Road at about 9:40 p.m. when her vehicle ran off the left side of the road, causing her to overcorrect and then run off the right side of the road. Her 1995 Pontiac Grand Am struck an embankment and overturned, ejecting the teenager, who was apparently not wearing a seat belt. Speed appears to have been a factor. Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Marcelo Zavala was headed eastbound on Summerlin Parkway just east of the Buffalo Drive exit at around 5 a.m. Sunday when he allegedly made an unsafe lane change, causing him to lose control of the Chevrolet Tahoe he was operating. The Tahoe hit another SUV that was behind him, sending it into a nearby guardrail. The Tahoe then rolled, landing on its roof and ejecting a passenger, Steven Alexander Salas-Limon, 19, who was killed. Four other people were taken to the hospital. Zavala, Jr.

At about 9:45pm, a car driven by McCulloch with Hvass as a passenger struck a traffic pole, leaving both teenaged boys dead at the scene when police arrived. Some acquaintances of the victims believe that McCullogh may have been attempting dangerous driving maneuvers such as drifting, where losing control of the vehicle would be very easy.

A vehicle carrying four boys between the ages of 16 and 19 was driving on South Hiram Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Andrew Stanley, 18, was declared dead at the scene, and Isaac Moore, 19, died later at the hospital. Two passengers, 16, suffered serious injuries. The driver, 17, was treated for his injuries at a local medical center and is expected to be released soon. Police do not intend to release the names of the juveniles involved.

Emmitt Holt, an 18-year-old freshman at Indiana University, apparently dropped off sophomore Devin Davis in the Memorial Stadium parking lot just before 1:00 am on Saturday. Holt then pulled out onto 17th Street and was heading west when Davis stepped into the street and was struck by the passenger side of Holt's Jeep. Holt stopped to see if Davis was injured, and Davis was taken to the hospital unconscious with a serious head injury.

Marisa M. Twinn was driving north in a 1994 Honda Accord when her car left the road and rolled shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday on State Route 223, about 2 miles south of Granger. A passenger, Sondra B. Ashlock, of Toppenish, was taken to Toppenish Community Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Twinn, Delfino Serrato, 19, of Yakima, and an unidentified 16-year-old girl were taken to the hospital. Twinn was later booked at the Yakima County jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide.

Brent Lowry was riding in the bed of a truck that was driving on Lee County Road 150 when the vehicle left the road and overturned. Lowry was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Three other teens who were also riding in the truck were injured and transported to a local medical center for treatment.

Sanilac County Sheriff's deputies arrested Laken Williams, 21, of Lexington on January 26 for the October 28, 2014, high-speed rollover crash on Roach Road west of Croswell Road in Lexington Township that killed 18-year-old Dakota Moore and 17-year-old Danielle Torrez. Williams was arraigned on two 15-year felony counts of reckless driving causing death; one count of false report of a felony and one high court misdemeanor count of lying to a peace officer. Williams originally claimed to be a passenger was the only survivor. The two teens were ejected from the vehicle and died.

Tiara Lashay Hinton was riding on Highway 64 in a car with three other teens when they collided with another vehicle. Hinton is confirmed dead, but the conditions of the other people involved are not currently known. The crash is still under investigation and more information will be posted once it is known.
