At about 6:15, a vehicle rolled over near Birch Hill, delaying traffic in the area for several hours. The driver, Julio Cardona, had to be extricated from his vehicle and was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

North Pole police responded to a report of someone riding an ATV on the North Pole High School's football field at 1 in the morning.
A driver was killed when their vehicle left the roadway, crashing into some trees and catching fire. Fire fighters were able to put out the blaze, but not in time to save the driver. The accident is still under investigation.

Just before 6 a.m., Aleksandr Glushko was drove a pickup off a road and into pipe that was stacked in a company yard. The pickup was straddling pipe and could not be driven off.
According to Anchorage police, Shad W. Wood was driving on Peger Road before 7:30 a.m. when he rear-ended a taxi cab. He left the scene of that collision and drove onto the Johansen Expressway where he then sideswipped two different vehicles.

Rebecca Navrot, 16, of Fairbanks, lost control of the Chevrolet Cavalier she was driving on Steele Creek Road, which then left the roadway and rolled over. State troopers received an emergency call about the accident at approximately 6:30 p.m.
After Darlene Nicholia reportedly ran a red light, her pickup truck collided with another pickup truck driven by William Redfern. Neither driver sustained life-threatening injuries.
