A 78-year-old man reportedly suffered severe symptoms from a medical condition while driving on U.S. 52 in Rochester on Monday, causing him to crash into a median wall. Duwane Kramer, of Rochester, was northbound when he "suffered a medical condition" and veered off the highway near Civic Center Drive Northwest, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. Kramer died at the scene. The crash was reported at 5:45 p.m. Rochester firefighters and police, Olmsted County sheriff's deputies and a Gold Cross Ambulance crew responded to the crash.

State police say a tractor-trailer struck and killed a Florida man who was standing on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in the northbound express lanes in Englewood. Authorities say 60-year-old Izhak Shvarz, of Lake Mary, Fla., was standing next to his vehicle and was partially in the right lane when he was hit by the truck. No tickets have been issued and the accident remains under investigation.

An early morning crash tossed an 11-year-old boy into a windshield and sent him to the hospital Tuesday. Shortly before 7:30 a.m., Worcester police responded to the area of 86 Lafayette St. for a motor vehicle accident with injury. When they arrived, they found paramedics working to stabilize an 11-year-old boy who was a passenger in a truck involved in the accident, according to a release from the Worcester Police Department.

A man was killed Tuesday morning in a logging accident in Switzerland, Co., Indiana. The incident occurred at a property adjacent to Drakes Ridge Rd. in Pleasant Township, according to a police press release. At approximately 11:18 a.m., the Switzerland County Sheriff's Office received a report of a man who was injured after a tree fell and pinned him underneath. The man was identified as Richard E. Hunter of Osgood, Ind. Hunter was pronounced deceased at the accident scene at 11:48 a.m. The time of death was pronounced by Switzerland Co. Coroner Lewis Fritter.

A Nashville, Illinois woman was pronounced dead after a two-vehicle crash near Addieville, Illinois.

The Washington County coroner's office was notified of a death from a crash at State Route 177 and Covington Road near Addieville on Tuesday afternoon, April 1.

Dorothea J. Tielemann, 79, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:59 p.m. by the Washington County Coroner.

A Brooklyn Center man was injured early Tuesday morning when the vehicle he was driving east on Interstate 90 near St. Charles hit an icy patch and went into the median. The Minnesota State Patrol said Raul Caceres Calderon, 45, was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital — Saint Marys campus in Rochester. The accident was reported at 3:45 a.m.

One person is dead and two others injured when a Coach charter bus and a pickup truck collided on Long Island Tuesday morning. The incident happened at Roslyn Road and Heathcote Drive in Albertson around 9 a.m. The collision sent the bus careening into a tree. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman is recovering from serious injuries after she was hit by a car while trying to cross a street. Harris County sheriff's deputies said the woman tried to cross FM 1960 near Cypress Station around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators said the woman was not in the crosswalk at the time she was hit. Officials said a man, who was driving with his wife, did not see the woman and hit her. The driver stopped and waited for officers to arrive at the scene. Investigators said the driver had been drinking, but were not certain if he was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

One person is dead after a wreck in York County. According to the highway patrol, the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Dobys Bridge Road. Troopers say William Taylor, 32, was driving east on Dobys Bridge Road, when he drove off the left side of the road and struck a Volkswagen head-on. The 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene. Taylor was not injured. This accident remains under investigation.

Authorities have released the names of two people who died as a result of a crash March 31 on Interstate 59.

The St. Clair County Coroner said the two victims were identified as Beverly Oglesbey, 56, and her daughter, Kayla Jo Oglesbey, 21, both of Rainbow City. The two died of blunt force trauma, the coroner said.

The crash happened at 7:15 p.m. in the southbound lane of I-59 near the 169 mile marker.
